Spitting on the Road

You are standing on the side of the road in the relax mood, suddenly an auto rickshaw guy will spit near to your leg. Then the driver of the truck will spit from his window. This is like common practice in India. Esp’ the ppl eating Pan. They spit anywhere, wherever they find a space, be it the lift of the building, or the boundary wall. It looks so ugly. YUK…….

Its pathetic when the lanes are narrow. You need to keep on looking the ground. Strangely we all have accepted that, spitting on road is fine. I have never seen anyone complaining, or raised an eyebrow on that. Our Government is too kind, no fine on spitting. May be it is there in books, but I have never seen any cop taking fine from those who spit on road. Ah, they themselves do the same, why do they fine them.

I don’t know, if someday it will be banned and we will have clean roads to walk.

hi Nidhi ,
Government is not kind . They are not bothered about it . They are highly corrupted and irresponsible. There must be strong rules and regulations on spitting at wrong places.

arrey,,

If you have time visit Govt General Hospital,at Chennai and just see the walls and stairs spat with paan and spit.I just love to work in the new twin towers of GGH.My heart bleeds each time I see paan spat on the wallsof GGH Twin Towers.

Hi Nidhi,

At last, in Kerala, the state govt heard your plea and banned the practice of spitting on the raod, declaring it as a crime.

I so agree with you man! I have scolded variuos rickshawalas in and around my locality for spitting! I mean it is disgusitng!
