Thanks to the Jaipur workshop, I manage to come to Delhi Office for a day. Tomorrow I am leaving with other Delhi staff to Choki Dhani, Jaipur.
Its so good to meet old office collogues. I dont have much time to check other blogs of my frens but I thougth I can spare 5 mins to write something. I think it has become my daily routine to write on my electronic diary.
Delhi is quite cold then Mumbai. Delhi roads are looking much more wider and less pollution. I think my stay in Mumbai for 2 months make me used to travel on roads with lots of jerks, eating dust and see people all around me. If I compare between people then I would say Mumbai people are very simple and kind. Unlike Delhi teen girls who always dress up like a model even in colleges, in Mumbai I found even teenager girls are very simple in their approach and way of dressing. After my two/ three days of joining in Mumbai office, my collogues told me you dress up like Delhilite, always matching ear rings with clothes and daily lip stick. I was sarcastically smiling, if they could have seen my Delh office collougues what would they have thought.
I have to start my work, will catch al my blog frens later.
Cheers

I think that is why my frinds always dream about studying in Delhi!
Anyways yes Delhi is free of pollution and I realy wish I could get an oppurtunity to visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi and write on the nearest wall I can approach, “WE WANNA DISSOLVE DA FUCKING GOVERNMENT”
I know I’m too young for these things but hey even we have brains to think about all this crap!
i’ve been Delhi many times n have spent some quality time in Delhi also
. Even Delhi is polluted but compared to Mumbai ,Yes Delhi is better. i emjoy being in Delhi. Overall Delhi rocks!!!.
MUMBAI rocks hardcore!
I still retain my previous ground. I like to visit Mumbai and prefre it over Delhi. No hard feelings Delhites
Falak: You know I have visited Rashpati Bhavan and that is also from inside (one of my office collogues has some links), it was a good experience. Hey Falak, we shouldnt use the “F” word for our Government, after all we only select our Government. You are too young but you are very sharp as compared to other kids.
Dilip: Delhi really rocks, I had my best years in Delhi.
JV: You are welcome to Mumbai, I have not seen much places but I can advice to visit few.
Some roads in Delhi are a bit wider now due to the stand that the MCD took by demolishing illegal constructions sprouting on roads, especially on the ring road, but traffic is still bad even after a number of flyovers coming up, blame it on the increasing number of vehicles on the road as well as the population!!
& yeah, I’m a Delhi boy, always been one so far!!
I DIDNT CHOSE DA GOVERNMENT as I didn’t had a right to vote and also if I did, no party worth beign the government!
It seems I have roamed Mumbai more than you. But what I enjoy about the Mumbai is not any tourist attracton . It is the liveliness and hustle-bustle in the air of Mumbai which attracts me.
There is no other reason to dislike Delhi. It is political and governance hub of India as Mumbai is economic and glamour hub. And I am sick of politician and bureaucrats
And I have had no particular reasons to visit Delhi except touring there. I have visited Delhi while reporting at YHAI for trekking camps.
Yup nidhi
once the mumbai bug bites u…its there to stay.
either one likes mumbai or hates it. nothing in between,
enjoy!!

‘Unlike Delhi teen girls who always dress up like a model even in colleges, in Mumbai I found even teenager girls are very simple in their approach and way of dressing.’
You obviously havent been to hyper conservative Chennai!
Hey, you have rightly mentioned about Delhi. Delhi is seeing the modern fashion. Mumbai has already seen it so they do not show up like models all the time. N yes, Delhites are no more like the phrase – “Dilli Dil Walo Ki ” Now, its a murder and rape capital of India. On Road fighting sighting is very common. Delhi buses and the staff inside the buses are just like Junglees. Ladies, Dont ever travel in the night time past 8 or 9 pm and also in the morning time before 7 am. You are just inviting the rapists. If you see, there is no lady in the bus, not only the bus staff but the passengers too pose a threat. If you are travelling in a bus and you catch a picpocket red handed. Just leave him or your life is in danger. As soon as you are going to raise the alarm, you are going to be stabbed many times and surely the police wont assist you to go hospital. They will wait untill you die and the ambulance etc. comes to take the body away. Three-wheelers and taxi drivers are also very expert in driving on roads and also very expert to drive you to desserted areas. Three wheeler charges and by meter. Are you mad ? Do you think, whatever the bill/law is passed, is going to be implied and applied….does not it matter if there is some kinda checking etc. for some days..the thing will return to the normal situation as before very soon. Dont even wait. And Ladies even if you are in danger dont take the risk to go to the police station in delhi, alone. You, yourself are inviting the trouble. Try to accompany at least one male person. And GIRLS IF YOU ARE WORKING IN A BAR AND SOMEBODY ASKS A DRINK, DONT DO THE MISTAKE BY TELLING HIM – NO. JUST SERVE THEM THE DRINK AND GIVE THEM ONE EXTRA DRINK. IT IS LATE FOR DRINK…. ARE YOU MAD ? DONT YOU WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE… FORGET THE TIMING…JUST SERVE THE DRINK.
CHEERS..SKJ
Dear SKJ: Without any second thought I agree its a murder and rape capital of India. However, I stayed in Delhi for more then 11 years, and I really had best days in Delhi esp. in South Delhi area. I like Delhi even if it has several flaws.
Me too I am a proud Delhite now settled abroad but amongst all that chaos i still find myself home and can connect with my inner self. And than if we look at the situation in global context its every where be it any city or country at times its just u r in a wrong zone……..
Dear SJK,
By making that statement, you’re accusing all Delhiites of being rapists, at least potential ones. This is not the case, we live in the same country, so stop being racist. Delhiites are not that kind, it’s the immigrant population that is causin population.
@ JV
Sick of politicians & that’s why you don’t wanna come to Delhi ? Think again. Delhi is not a parliament, with only politicians roaming about the streets. A major population (95% ?) of Delhi is normal & respectable people, not politicians, hehe!
I apologize for the mistake in the comment above… it should have been
* it’s the immigrant population that is causing problems
