Fucking office rules

Today I got to know that I have to prepare the office budget for next three month. Its not easy task, one really has to use all the brain to think where we have to spend and how much money we should put on the same. The budget should not increase the cost of the project and on the same hand it shouldnot be less otherwise it shows no activity been done in the project. I am looking forward to start that but I am waiting for a mail related to the same from my head office. I am in field office.

I am very excited to start but on the contrary, I know that I will made the budget and my senior will send the same using his name. If there will be any mistake or error then it will come as “Oh Nidhi has made this budget” and if its all correct then my senior will get all the credit. Its so unfair, I have always seen in most of the offices, the senior takes all the credit of the work which been done by their suboordinates.

If I will become Director someday, I will inform all my employees to report to me directly and if its not possible then I will tell everyone to put their own name under the report.  

Now I will work on my budget thing, cursing my senior and the fucking office rules.

Credit where credits due I say.
Lucky for me I’ve never had to work in a situation where someone could take credit for my work, but I have been part of graphics sites where they only put the site name on the layouts and not who the actual artists or coder is, so effectively the site owner takes credit for everything. Hopefully you can move to a position in the future where you’ll receive the credit your due for your hard work.

You ain’t the first one, neither the last one to go through this. And me’s sure this ain’t happenin first time either.

Did ya took the gamble to standing up to ya boss and pointing out that’s mine ? If you ain’t capable of takin such risks, you ain’t elegible for blabberin about it.

Everybody thinks that he/she ain’t gonna do the same thing, but it never happens! That’s the taste of success & higher ranks. Wish ya all the best.

Well, same tale I have to tell, of course in diffeent situation. I did the work and my supereior awarded as “best @#!% of the year”, and I was the unsung hero of the year. :(

Then I decided not to work for anyone else, and if I ever do never bother with outcome. By passing of time, now I simply do the work for other and consider it favour to him/her and simply forget it. But I have come to conslusion doing work for other never hurts, rather it improves your quality,skill, knowledge and repuation. Some people even became much depandable on me and I simply do the favour if I have time and mood.

I suggest you one thing, if you consider it. Make the budget thing with all your best efforts, with minor and minutely details. When (if) the explanation part arises, there may be possiblities that your senior, who has signed and sent the budget under his signature, won’t be able to explain exactly why such suggestion is made, and I hope you will be called.

I dont know in which situation you are, so this is just a flimsy suggestion> because today is holiday so my mind is idle and taken over by devil ;), so feel free to throw my idea aside.

Nice suggestion JV. Very postive thinking. It surely increase the skills and no doubt many people becomes depandable also. And I really feel proud when they become completly helpless on some subjects when I am not around.

Thomas, if to the Director I point out, that’s my report then Director will point me the door. He will say, even if its your, how can you come directly and be so blunt in front of me. So I prefer to do it for my senior, and someday my good work will come in his eyes.

often i get credit for any work i do, whether in school or at work. same goes for my cousin, a programmer, if the software he elps to create is without error, his company and supervisers get the credit; if there’s a screwup, he gets blamed AND is the main one to fix it because he is one his company’s best businesses.

Don’t mind me writing this, but you sound like someone who has given up without fighting and just wants to go with the flow, which I see as pity. You should be strong enough to point the things on face and be ready to face the consequences come what may, that of course is the way I think and behave. Yes, you need the support of your near & dear one’s in that, also you need to sure of yourself that you are ready to move ahead and explore new opportunities.

I feel it is better to move out and look for You Time, instead of just sitting and waiting for it to come.

To Rudy:

Since in your blog, only blogger’s member can publish the comment. So I would like to comment about your article of “Mp3 Software” in my post

You could have shown the gal’s pic with some other title. In this Mp3 software article, I felt it was not required.

And about you comment at my post then I would like to say that your comment is too cheap to post on someone’s site.
